Manchester City will be in uncharted territory as they prepare to face Japanese outfit Urawa Red Diamonds in the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup semifinals on December 19 in Jeddah.
Pep Guardiola's side are the UEFA representative following their Champions League triumph at the back end of the 2022/23 campaign in what will be their first appearance in the competition.

Star striker Erling Haaland is making positive steps in his recovery from a foot injury and could start for the defending European champions, although the game may come too soon for him, as well as Jeremy Doku (thigh). Kevin De Bruyne has travelled to Saudi Arabia but is not expected to feature as he continues his rehabilitation from hamstring surgery.
